The Swan Song Project
Description
The Swan Song Project (SSP) help people facing terminal illness and bereavement create lasting legacies by transforming their memories and emotions into original songs.
Through facilitated sessions with trained songwriters, SSP reach people who may not otherwise engage with traditional therapeutic support. They work with over 70 people each year through partnerships with nine hospices. However, growing referrals and a waiting list are stretching their founder-led model.
With The Fore’s funding, SSP will recruit a Director of Operations and expand their freelance songwriter team. Stronger systems, hospice partnerships and income generation will position SSP for sustainable growth, enabling them to meet rising demand and extend their impact beyond Yorkshire.
