Highlands Psychoanalytic Collective (HPC) are tackling the mental health crisis in rural Scotland.

Suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in the Highlands, exacerbated by a lack of specialised local support. HPC address this gap by delivering psychotherapy to vulnerable adolescents and providing training to professionals working with young people across the region, building their confidence to support them. Despite strong momentum, the co-founders are focused entirely on delivery and they have outgrown their current space, leaving no room to scale.

With The Fore’s support, HPC will recruit additional psychotherapists and relocate to larger premises, bringing their psychotherapy to more young people. They will also launch an income generating training programme for clinicians, removing reliance on unpredictable grant funding and transforming HPC into a sustainable, strategic model for mental health provision across rural Britain.
