Alfie’s Squad
Description
Alfie’s Squad support children and families who have lost loved ones to suicide by connecting them with others going through the same thing.
Children who lose a parent to suicide are three times more likely to die by suicide, yet support is limited. Founded in 2023 by Alfie’s mum after Alfie lost his dad to suicide at age 8 and couldn’t find other children to talk to, Alfie’s Squad already support 70 families across Liverpool and Bolton. Their model is replicable and demand is rising, but leadership is bogged down by daily operational tasks.
With our funding, they will recruit a Partnerships Officer to coordinate their setup in new areas. The officer will free the CEO to focus on strategic growth and income generation, enabling Alfie’s Squad to go on to take their formula nationwide.
