Balanced Horizon

Description

Balanced Horizon are restoring ecosystems along the Scottish coast on both land and sea.

Through hands-on restoration and community action they are tackling the habitat loss, pollution and biodiversity decline threatening Scotland’s wildlife and coastal economies. Their growth has been rapid, but they have hit a bottleneck: Project Leads are currently overstretched, juggling frontline delivery with admin and fundraising. They have tested new income generating ideas that work, but the time isn’t there to formalise these burgeoning commercial opportunities.

With The Fore’s funding, Balanced Horizon will increase operational capacity to maximise income through diverse new channels, including corporate away days and a community-led sauna. This will allow the organisation to become self-sustaining and better positioned to protect Scottish coasts for people and nature.
