Stitches In Time provides advice, training and Living Wage employment opportunities for women from migrant backgrounds.

In Tower Hamlets, a borough with severe poverty and a strong community, Stitches provides a welcoming space to learn English and sewing skills. Some women stay on to teach others after completing sewing courses. Its social enterprise arm, Fabric Works, creates high-quality production runs for high-street clothing brands and fashion labels.

There is proven demand as studio income has recently trebled. Funding from The Fore will be used to increase staff capacity, enabling Stitches to take on more commissions and increase its sustainability.
