Battling On CIC
Description
Based on an idyllic 124-acre farm, Battling On supports struggling veterans transitioning into civilian life. The charity offers those who have served in the military training as local community workers. It allows them to regain a sense of purpose whilst also benefitting other community groups.
Battling On’s community garden combines traditional horticultural techniques with state-of-the-art technology in soilless hydroponic beds.
The CIC sustainably produces affordable produce such as wildflowers and plants for sale to the local community, but there is significant additional online demand. The Fore will provide £30,000 to purchase the equipment to create and run their first online shop.
