The Community Impact Initiative CIC Request

Organisation Description
Operating in South Wales, The Community Impact Initiative supports people experiencing unemployment and social isolation with gaining skills, achieving qualifications, improving their wellbeing and connecting with others in their community.
For each project in our cyclical community regeneration project model, we:
1. Purchase an empty, run-down property in a community that needs our support.
2. Use the renovation process to support approximately 25 local people (as specified above).
3. Sell the property and reinvest the profits in the next project.
What are they looking for?
We are seeking support and advice about social investment. After successfully developing our organisation over the past 7 years, we are considering social investment as an option for us moving forward. Our aim is to use social investment to purchase a number of empty, run-down properties and regenerate them using our innovative community regeneration project model as described above. Specifically, we are looking for a volunteer who can: - Support us with ensuring that we have everything we need to apply for social investment (i.e a business plan); - Support us with identifying funds that are right for us; - Guide us through the outreach and application process. This is a fully remote opportunity without a large time commitment as we are happy to receive as much support as you are able to offer.
