Description
Plastic Shed unite with their communities to turn plastic waste into something useful and beautiful.
Their creative workshops bring people together to transform plastic waste into items like plant pots and clipboards for schools. They also work with festivals and communities to create art installations from unwanted plastic, including the UK’s largest 100% recycled bottle lid mural, made with 80,000 donated lids and 40,000 community members. They sell a small range of recycled plastic products which has huge potential to grow, but this is hampered by temperamental, slow machinery.
Funding from The Fore will enable investment in better machinery and the resources to boost productivity, grow product sales nationwide, and expand income-generating workshops. This will unlock new revenue streams and build a more sustainable future for Plastic Shed.
