Organisation Description

We are a unique small charity that supports terminally ill and bereaved people to write and record original songs. We are the only organisation offering this service and have a fantastic track record of delivering it since 2017. We have won several awards for our work including a nationla "Shine A Light" Award for outstanding support for the bereaved and a recent "Creativ Impact" award at the Yorkshire Hello Hope Awards. We have a wide range of partnerships that refer participants to us such as hospices, bereavement and cancer charities and funeral directors. The songs live on in peoples memory as a tangible part of someones legacy, providing great therapeutic benefits for all connected to the loss. You can hear some of the songs we have helped to write on our website as well as read many stories from our beneficiaries. Alongside our songwriting support we also runs groups based around music and bereavement and produce a podcast sharing insights about songwriting and songs that support people through grief.

What are they looking for?

We would really benefit from some support with our donor journeys. We have a lot of love from our followers and previous beneficaries but don’t feel like we convert them to financial supporters well. We would really appreciate a review of our social media, website and marketing materials to help us improve this journey and make some plans about how we can maintain this going forward. We have generally been too small a team to dedicate a lot of time to it but now we have a bit more capacity so hope to implement some things that can develop over time and help us become more financially secure.
