Description
Exeter Science Centre (ESC) are bridging the STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine) skills gap by making science and technology accessible to people who don’t usually have access to it.
Since 2021, they have reached 18,000 people across the South West through workshops and projects that connect people to science and STEMM careers. ESC have secured a space to pilot their first permanent science hub but they don’t have the operational capacity to launch and manage the centre.
With our investment, ESC will fund a Centre Manager to oversee the launch and daily operations of this new hub. This role is the key to transforming ESC into a self-sustaining charity. By 2028, the centre expects to welcome 15,000 visitors annually, cementing its role as a leading regional space for STEMM engagement.
