Active Horizons
Description
Founded by former unaccompanied refugee Yeukai Taruvinga, Active Horizons is Bexley?s leading BME youth organisation with a vision to significantly raise the voice and engagement of local young black, migrant and refugee communities. Active Horizons trains young people to research local issues, confront racial bullying, develop advocacy skills and build self-esteem. Active Horizons is using funding from The Fore to develop new income streams resulting from wrap-around child-care provision and a community kitchen, also providing additional training opportunities for young people.
