HAVERING VOLUNTEER CENTRE
Description
Havering Volunteer Centre (HVC) provides support to 300 organisations/groups seeking volunteers. They complement this work with training and support to build the capacity of the sector in Havering, bringing in experts to deliver training on topics such as Engaging with the Community and Volunteer Retention. They also run forums for different communities and sectors within the borough, e.g. BME Forum, LGBTQAI+ Group. HVC has gained momentum and demonstrated its value in the last year and it now has a unique opportunity. HVC are using the grant of £15,000 from The Fore to employ a f/t Volunteering Development Liaison Lead for 1 year.
