We see applicants as experts in their fields, who know their community and organisation’s needs best. We believe that by asking you what you need, our grants will deliver transformational impact for your organisation.

What transformational impact looks like will depend on your organisation. For some, it might be about growth. For others, it could mean building resilience, improving sustainability, or becoming more efficient. We want to hear, in your own words, what would make the biggest difference for your organisation itself.

Here are some examples of what we wouldn’t consider transformational in the context of The Fore:

  • Beneficiary-focused change: We know positive change for your beneficiaries is important, but for us, transformational impact means strengthening your organisation. Any impact on beneficiaries should come as a natural result of the organisational transformation, not be the transformation itself.
  • Continuation of existing services/’business as usual’: Our funding is designed to unlock a genuine, sustainable step-change for the whole organisation. In some cases, this may mean strengthening how core services are delivered so they are more sustainable in the long-term.
  • Temporary fixes: We want to help you build strong foundations for a sustainable future, so our funding isn’t intended to fill short-term gaps or cover core costs unless they clearly lead to transformational impact.
  • One-off projects without lasting organisational change.
