Organisation Description
In Touch has supported the Chapeltown community with complementary therapies and healthy activities for over 12 years. We are a grassroots organisation with a core belief in the importance and efficacy of Holistic Healthcare, and a commitment to social equality. We make our services available to those who wouldn't otherwise be able to access them. We are currently providing physiotherapy for people seeking asylum, older people and local people affected by the financial crisis, as well free yoga classes, exercise for elders and Zumba for women.
What are they looking for?
We are looking for volunteers to join our board of directors, who meet once a month to oversee the organisation. You would be joining us in an advisory capacity, to offer guidance and steer on systems, strategies and plans. If you have capacity to take on tasks outside of meetings, such as research into a particular topic, your input would be welcomed. However, this is not a requirement of the post.
