Trusteeship with AzuKo
Backed by The Fore
Organisation Description
AzuKo is working to end housing poverty in Bangladesh and the UK. By 2030, an estimated 3 billion people – over 40% of the world’s population – will live in housing poverty. A home should be a place of refuge; a solid foundation to build a brighter future. AzuKo works side-by-side with women, and their communities, in both Bangladesh and the UK to solve the housing challenges they’re facing. We provide a pathway of support – building knowledge, skills and confidence. Whether that’s through housing advice, construction training, or hands-on help to repair or construct new buildings.
What are they looking for?
AzuKo is looking for a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. Everyone deserves a safe, clean, dignified place to call home. Join us, and help end housing poverty.
The role involves monitoring the financial administration of the charity and reporting to the Board at regular intervals on its state of financial health. The Treasurer will assist the team in setting AzuKo’s strategy, support AzuKo’s staff and ensure all financial affairs are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice.
Trustees serve a three year term, with an annual review. The expected time commitment is 1-2 days per month, including attending six Board meetings per year. You may also be a sub-committee member and attend specific meetings.
