Action on Postpartum Psychosis (APP) is the national charity for women and families affected by postpartum psychosis. Over the last decade APP has become a trusted leader within the UK maternal mental health sector. We combine lived experience, perinatal clinical expertise, and academic excellence to deliver: award-winning peer support, specialist information for families, training for health professionals, national awareness-raising and campaigning, and research to advance understanding and care.

Help transform care for families affected by postpartum psychosis!
With demand for our services growing and an ambitious five-year plan in development, we are seeking trustees to strengthen and diversify our Board.
We are seeking trustees who share our commitment to improving the lives of women and families affected by postpartum psychosis and preventing maternal suicides. You do not need previous board experience. APP is committed to building a Board that reflects the diverse communities we support. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are particularly seeking increased representation from Black and Asian backgrounds. Skills in fundraising, philanthropy and impact investment, accounting and finance, law, diversity and inclusion, global scaling of health interventions, cyber security and digital innovation are especially welcome. Lived experience of postpartum psychosis is warmly welcomed, but not a requirement for the trustee role.
