Theatre Troupe Request

Organisation Description

Theatre Troupe works with marginalised children and young people who have mental health problems as a result of trauma. We deliver specialist arts programmes with one to one mentoring in the community, schools and other settings, to reduce distress, increase self-esteem, and build safe and trusting relationships. Our work is trauma-informed, with a practice that helps children recover, and move into bright futures. A theatre company (a “troupe”) acts as a community bringing people together to make theatre, with different artists’ work interlocking to make a theatrical whole. Each young person is paired with a volunteer mentor who supports them artistically and emotionally as they move through our programmes.
