Organisation Description

Our mission is to enthuse, encourage and empower these young women, whose vulnerabilities may lead to reduced life choices. We provide positive female role models, with lived experience of overcoming childhood challenge, to generate trust, and create safe and reflective environments in which young women can begin to explore their experiences and learn tools to help emotional regulation. All our work is framed by the question, ‘What are your gifts and how will you use them? 

What are they looking for?

We are seeking an income generation focused volunteer, or trustee, with an interest in issues that affect girls and young women, to oversee fundraising and to work with our CEO to ensure effective income generation is being achieved; contribute knowledge of fundraising techniques and strategies; assess risks in new fundraising directions; support and encourage the Chief Executive in their fundraising work and encourage an entrepreneurial fundraising culture. The right person will have the following essential skills: Fundraising/income-generation knowledge and/or business development An understanding of the UK grant and contract sector. An understanding of the challenges facing charities in securing new funds. Experience of diverse income generation practices. This is an exciting opportunity to make a huge difference to the lives of girls and young women. Your drive and passion in attracting new sources of funding will play a vital part in our success and our growth. The post is virtual and can be carried out in, or out, of office hours, with a time commitment of 1-3 hours a week.
