Short-Term Project with EOS Network
Backed by The Fore
Organisation Description
EOS Network is a UK-based charity with a global reach, dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by Eosinophilic-Associated Diseases (EADs). Founded 20 years ago as a small parent support group, we’ve grown into an international community connecting patients and healthcare professionals worldwide. Our website receives 5000 new visitors monthly from over 160 countries. EADs are rare, chronic conditions that can make everyday activities like eating and breathing painful and difficult, profoundly affecting physical and mental well-being. There is currently no cure, and treatment options remain limited. We empower patients and families with trusted information and support, and bring together clinicians and researchers to share knowledge, advance understanding, and improve care. Our mission is to ensure that every person with an EAD receives a prompt, accurate diagnosis, cohesive medical care, and support to live with their condition.
What are they looking for?
EOS Network is seeking an experienced web professional to guide us through the migration of our charity website to WordPress. Our current CMS no longer meets our needs, and we’re ready to build a more flexible, scalable website that better serves our global community.
We’ve already developed a new website structure and are looking for expert input to refine it and identify the best technical solutions to support our goals.
We have a company that will deliver the migration and provide minimal training, but we need a brief that will ensure the migration is smooth, secure, future-proof, and aligned with best practice.
What’s involved:
– Reviewing our proposed website structure and related documents
– Helping us define a strong technical brief for the migration team
– Attending 4 planning and review meetings
– Advising on best practices for WordPress implementation, integrations, and services
– Identifying and advising on potential risks, gaps, or oversights before migration begins
About You:
We are looking for someone with experience in website development, WordPress setup and optimisation, and a good understanding of how charities can make the most of digital tools. Also, someone who enjoys collaborating with purpose-driven teams and offering practical, strategic advice.
