Organisation Description

Our aim is to provide events and activities that support the development of women from the Turkish and Kurdish speaking Communities. As part of this goal, we organise a choir and musical instruments courses to create significant impacts and changes in the lives of women. We work to ensure that women, most of whom are confined to their homes, become part of social life and increase their self-confidence. We also organise bi-monthly public meetings targeted at women with professionals who provide information on domestic violence and how to tackle the matter better.

What are they looking for?

The work we started for women who were isolated in their homes during the pandemic has continued with volunteer efforts since then. Although this organisation has three registered officers at the company's house, as a CIC, it is an organisation that is service user-led and run collectively by its service users and beneficiaries. We have steering groups for our workshops and the choir. This is done to make sure that the organisation is inclusive in all the events and activities it organises. During the past period, we have done our work through concerts, music videos and donations. However, at this stage, we want to make our organisation financially sustainable and to increase our service quality and the number of people we serve by establishing a more professional structure. Although our employees have different backgrounds, they are inadequate in managing an organisation and creating a financial strategy. Therefore, any support we can receive in the following areas will be meaningful.
