Muscle Help Foundation Request

Organisation Description

Muscle Help Foundation uses the power of personalised, inclusive and well-executed interventions to offer a purposeful, transformative platform that builds self-esteem, uplifts confidence, reduces isolation, improves social connection (by bringing vulnerable beneficiaries and families together) as well as giving an increased sense of hopefulness.

We exist to serve children, young people and young adults (8 to 28 years old) with Muscular Dystrophy, a muscle wasting disease. We evaluate our work both quantitatively and qualitatively. 2023 is a key milestone as we celebrate 20 years of operation, 20 years of giving hope and 20 years of changing lives.

What are they looking for?

We are seeking Trustees to join our board who have the passion to take our charity forward, to help grow our impact and to feel the sense of personal fulfilment from the time they volunteer. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your unique self, talents, skills, energy and passion for a case you care about. We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in at least one of the following: - Finance (to support out Treasurer); - Digital; - Legal; - Safeguarding (children and vulnerable adults); - Corporate partnerships (charity adoption, CSR insight); - Fundraising (income generation, major donor attraction). As a Trustee, you will have the opportunity to: - Improve the lives of vulnerable children, young people and their families; - Use your skills for the benefit of others; - Have strategic responsibility for a specific skill area; - Contribute to governance; - Act as an advocate/champion in promoting our work across your network; - Receive induction, support and training; - Be a part of the amazing team working to achieve the overarching 657 Muscle Dream mission and help us look further into the future.
