Mentorship with No Fuss Meals for Busy Parents CIC – The Countryside Kitchen
Applicant endorsed by The Fore
Organisation Description
**No Fuss Meals for Busy Parents CIC** is an award-winning social enterprise dedicated to improving food education, promoting healthy eating and reconnecting communities with farming, food production and the natural environment. Through our flagship project, **The Countryside Kitchen**, based on a working farm in rural Northamptonshire, we deliver inclusive, hands-on educational experiences for schools, children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), disadvantaged communities and vulnerable adults. Our workshops combine food preparation, farming, gardening, outdoor learning and sustainability to build confidence, develop practical life skills and improve wellbeing. Since opening in July 2025, we have welcomed **over 1,000 participants**, with 85% experiencing a working farm for the first time. Working alongside schools, community organisations, NHS services, charitable funders and corporate partners, we are breaking down barriers to countryside access, tackling food inequalities and creating meaningful opportunities for people to learn where their food comes from.
What are they looking for?
We are looking for strategic business development support to help **No Fuss Meals for Busy Parents CIC and The Countryside Kitchen transition from a predominantly reactive, grant-funded model to a financially sustainable social enterprise** with diverse and reliable income streams.
In particular, we would welcome guidance and mentoring on growing our unrestricted income, developing meaningful corporate partnerships and sponsorship opportunities, and securing longer-term contracts with schools, local authorities, NHS services and community organisations.
We want to move away from continually chasing short-term funding opportunities towards building strategic relationships, multi-year agreements and a more predictable pipeline of commissioned work.
We would also value support with developing our commercial model, pricing strategy, impact measurement and long-term financial planning, ensuring we can balance our social mission with the need to generate sustainable trading income.
**Our ambition is to move from simply funding individual workshops to building a resilient, financially independent organisation** that can invest in its people, facilities and programmes, expand its reach and create lasting social impact.
Ultimately, we want to become less dependent on grants, more proactive in generating income and better positioned to scale our work without compromising our commitment to making food, farming and outdoor education accessible to those who need it most.
