International Teaching Artists Collaborative Request

International Teaching Artists Collaborative Request

Organisation Description

The International Teaching Artist Collaborative (ITAC) is a global gathering of Teaching Artists offering innovative arts-based solutions, to address pressing global issues, and engage communities to explore new possibilities—imagining the world as if it were otherwise and then creating that world. It became a year-round organisation in 2019, born out of the success of the biennial International Teaching Artist Conferences which began in 2012, to meet the growing demand from our global sector for a network to support practitioners and where we could remain connected. Over the years ITAC has brought together thousands of Teaching Artists, Socially Engaged Artists, and Community Artists from around the world to connect, learn from one another, build community, and demonstrate that Teaching Artistry is a uniquely powerful use of the arts to address serious social challenges. These include improving education, health and wellbeing, active citizenship, climate action, conflict transformation and much more.

What are they looking for?

We are currently seeking support in several areas, particularly as we navigate some shifts in the focus of our organisation. Given these recent developments, it would be extremely valuable to have the guidance of an experienced collaborator who can help us reassess and reorient our business strategy and planning. In addition, we are facing new challenges that highlight the need to strengthen our current legal structure, especially in relation to developing internal policies, refining agreements and contracts, and establishing solid frameworks for future partnerships. We are looking for a commitment of 1–2 virtual meetings per week.
