Portfolio: Ellies Gift CIC Request

Organisation Description
Ellie’s Gift is a UK-based not-for-profit initiative founded in 2019 by Lucy and Rick Livesey in memory of their daughter, Ellie. It offers compassionate digital support for families facing baby loss through a free mobile app—the first of its kind in the UK. Endorsed by NHS professionals, the app provides practical tools, mental health resources, and guidance before, during, and after loss. Families can access relaxation sessions, mindfulness courses, and downloadable materials like checklists and audio tracks. Ellie’s Gift ensures that no parent navigates grief alone, transforming personal tragedy into a lasting legacy of care and connection
What are they looking for?
Ellie’s Gift is looking for two committed Trustees with backgrounds in finance and digital/tech to help guide and strengthen our work supporting families affected by baby loss.
We’re seeking individuals with strong expertise ideally within the charity, NHS, or non-profit sectors who can offer strategic insight, compassion, and a genuine commitment to our cause. Financial experience may include budgeting, planning, or charity finance, while tech experience could involve digital strategy, IT infrastructure, or online service delivery.
This is primarily a remote role, with a monthly evening meeting (via video call) and ongoing communication via WhatsApp. Trustees will advise on organisational development, ensure sound governance, and help shape our future direction.
While not essential, we welcome trustees who may also wish to get involved more actively—for example, supporting interviews, joining focus groups, or helping us grow our visibility and impact.
If you’re experienced, values-driven, and passionate about making a difference in baby loss support, we’d love to hear from you
Timeframe:We aim to recruit by the end of June 2025, so early expressions of interest are encouraged.
