Carlisle Key Request
Organisation Description
Carlisle Key supports young people aged 16-25 facing homelessness or housing challenges. At our drop-in center, we provide practical help with housing, finances, and employment, alongside well-being activities that promote mental health. Our services are tailored to reflect the needs of young people, helping them achieve independence, personal growth, and stability. We offer crisis intervention, one-on-one guidance, and skill-building workshops to support their journey. By working closely with local partners, we ensure young people access the right opportunities to build a secure and independent future.
What are they looking for?
We are seeking volunteers to join Carlisle Key as trustees or to support our marketing and communications efforts. As a trustee, your role would include attending monthly meetings to help guide the charity’s development. In-person participation is preferred, but virtual attendance can be arranged. We value individuals who are passionate about supporting young people aged 16-25 facing homelessness, with skills in areas like safeguarding, governance, finance, or HR. Marketing and communications support could involve social media management, content creation, and outreach to help raise awareness of our work. Both roles offer a chance to make a real difference and collaborate with our small, dedicated team.
Timeframe:We are seeking support as soon as possible, but there are no strict deadlines, and our staff currently have things covered. If you are interested in getting involved, we would love to hear from you!
