The Cambridge Film Trust is a registered charity with a mission to foster film culture and education for the benefit of the public in Cambridge, the Eastern region and throughout the UK. Our flagship activity is the annual Cambridge Film Festival, presented annually by the Trust.
The Festival is the second longest-running film festival in the UK, founded in 1977 and presenting the best of UK and independent international cinema for over 40 years.
What are they looking for?
The Cambridge Film Trust is seeking new trustees to join us in our work running the Cambridge Film Festival and promoting film culture and education in Cambridge, the Eastern region, and across the UK. We are seeking individuals based in Cambridge who have a love of cinema and a passion for engaging diverse audiences with a broad range of films. Our current focus includes: - Fundraising and Sponsorship: Raising funds to secure the long-term success of the Festival and its legacy is essential. Experience in fundraising strategy or sponsorship acquisition would be especially valuable. - Business and Financial Expertise: We welcome trustees with financial acumen, particularly in the context of arts organisations, to help oversee the Trust’s financial planning and sustainability. - Advocacy, Networking, and Industry: Trustees who can help raise the profile of the Cambridge Film Festival, foster relationships within the Film and exhibition sector, as well as with local, regional, and national partners, and leverage their networks to help us secure guests, speakers and collaborators, will play a crucial role in our success.
