BLINK Dance Theatre Request

Organisation Description

BLINK Dance Theatre are a neurodiverse-led, relentlessly inclusive arts organisation, committed to tackling ableism by building bridges between inner-city popular culture and learning disability culture.

We achieve our aims through three main strands of work; participatory workshops at schools, day centres and youth groups, performances both locally and nationally, and the provision of training to other arts professionals.

What are they looking for?

We are looking for new Trustees to join our board and support our mission of centring neurodivergent and learning disabled voices in arts and culture.

We are particularly keen to hear from people who have one or more of the following skills or knowledge areas; accounting and/or charity finance, local knowledge and/or connections in Wandsworth, sensory work for people with higher support needs, fundraising. We value all forms of learning and knowledge; you could have gained this experience through work or through your personal life.

As a Trustee for BLINK, you would need to attend quarterly, formal in-person meetings at our base in Nine Elms, Wandsworth. Additionally, you may be required to join quarterly, online subcommittee meetings.

We are especially interested in hearing from someone with chairty finance expereince who could offer up to one full day of support a month to our experienced Finance Officer and General Manager.
