Abortion Talk Request (Portfolio)

Organisation Description

Launched in 2021 by medical and research professionals, Abortion Talk is destigmatising abortion one conversation at a time across the UK.

Their free-phone Talkline service, staffed by trained volunteers, gives people a safe space to talk about their abortion experiences and decisions. The charity also supports and trains healthcare professionals and community groups through workshops. Services are helping to eradicate the damage caused by abortion stigma, but with over 1000 missed calls in early 2023, they face extraordinary levels of demand.
