We’ve just backed 12 more exceptional grassroots charities and social enterprises from across the UK. From Inverness to Cornwall, these organisations will receive full access to The Fore’s unrestricted funding, networks, training and support — helping exceptional solutions get from grassroots to nationwide impact.

These are the Rising Stars of the sector — organisations tackling challenges across mental health and wellbeing, youth opportunity, social equity and inclusion, and sustainability and environment.

Petallica Flower Farm CIC

Petallica Flower Farm use their farm to build community and wellbeing in South Wales.

By selling flowers to fund inclusive sessions, they bring hundreds of people together to plant and harvest flowers, learn practical skills and connect with others. 100% of participants report a positive impact on
their mental health. After a successful pilot renting incubator space to local ethical micro-startups, Petallica have identified a major opportunity to scale this model. However, they lack the seed funds and people power.

The Fore’s grant will allow Petallica to hire a Coordinator and fit out a new space for micro-businesses. This will drive financial self-sufficiency, create local jobs, and support new programmes for those with autism and special educational needs, accelerating Petallica’s journey toward becoming one of the region’s leading community and enterprise hubs.

Exeter Science Centre

Exeter Science Centre (ESC) are bridging the STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine) skills gap by making science and technology accessible to people who don’t usually have access to it. Since 2021, they have reached 18,000 people across the South West through workshops and projects that connect people to science and STEMM careers. ESC have secured a space to pilot their first permanent science hub but they don’t have the operational capacity to launch and manage the centre.

With our investment, ESC will fund a Centre Manager to oversee the launch and daily operations of this new hub. This role is the key to transforming ESC into a self-sustaining charity. By 2028, the centre
expects to welcome 15,000 visitors annually, cementing its role as a leading regional space for STEMM engagement.

Highlands Psychoanalytic Collective

Highlands Psychoanalytic Collective (HPC) are tackling the mental health crisis in rural Scotland. Suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in the Highlands, exacerbated by a lack of specialised local support. HPC address this gap by delivering psychotherapy to vulnerable adolescents and providing training to professionals working with young people across the region, building their confidence to support them. Despite strong momentum, the co-founders are focused entirely on delivery and they have outgrown their current space, leaving no room to scale.

With The Fore’s support, HPC will recruit additional psychotherapists and relocate to larger premises, bringing their psychotherapy to more young people. They will also launch an income generating training programme for clinicians, removing reliance on unpredictable grant funding and transforming HPC into a sustainable, strategic model for mental health provision across rural Britain.
