DECSY – Development Education Centre South Yorkshire works with schools to help young people engage with global issues like migration and climate change. Marking their 40th anniversary, the team had exciting plans to grow, but they needed support building a fundraising strategy to achieve this.

Through our Pro Bono Network, we connected them with Laura McMullen who’s responsible for sustainability and impact at Five Arrows, part of Rothschild & Co. Laura joined DECSY’s board and applied her skills to lead on the work with a fundraising consultant.

This input has sparked DECSY to:

➡️deliver a clearer long-term funding strategy to realise their ambitions

➡️address their financial insecurity, helping trustees have more strategic discussions about the future
