Thinking Black CIC

Description

Thinking Black empowers black students to realise their full potential.

Founded by Hope Oloye during her time at Oxford in response to challenges she faced, Thinking Black improves the university prospects of black students aged 11-18 through hybrid sessions delivered by black university students and graduates. 100% of students on one programme received Russell Group university offers, with 37% secured from Oxford and Cambridge. However capacity constraints and outdated technology means they can only support 1 in 5 students who apply.

Using The Fore’s funding, Thinking Black will develop a new virtual learning environment to reach many more students and commercialise part of their offer to eradicate reliance on a single funding source.
