Knoydart Farm CIC
Description
Knoydart Farm is a community-run, organic farm on Scotland’s remote Knoydart peninsula, transforming how this isolated community produces and accesses food.
Accessible only by boat, Knoydart’s food supply chain is vulnerable to severe weather, high transportation costs, and delays, leaving residents with spoiled or overpriced food. Determined to take control, the community launched the farm in 2023 to create a self-sustaining local food system. However, volunteers lack the capacity to maximise its full potential.
With our support, they will hire a Farm Manager to boost crop production and realise their vision of locally grown, affordable, high-quality food for all. The Farm Manager will also expand income-generating workshops for the 30,000 annual tourists to sustain the farm for future generations.
