Citizens Advice Havering

Description

Citizens Advice Havering (CAH) has provided free, confidential, impartial, independent advice for 80 years in the London Borough of Havering. It supports some of the most vulnerable people in the local community who are facing complex and multiple issues. Many of those using its services do not have access to the internet or a smartphone, and prefer appointments being face-to-face. Since the onset of coronavirus, this has posed severe limitations on the organisation’s work, as its office is too small for staff to see clients there in a socially distanced manner. CAH is using funding from The Fore to set up a virtual Zoom ‘booth’ in the local library, where people can walk straight in to virtual face-to-face appointments with CAH staff despite not having their own access to the internet.
