Description
Havering Asian Social and Welfare Association (HASWA) provides social, educational, welfare and healthy living advice to Asian communities in Havering, as well as offering a space to share culture. It works with people of all ages, backgrounds and religions, and has a specific emphasis on supporting those that are isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable. Evaluations of its services have shown 80% reported improvements in health and 88% reported reductions in social isolation among those is supports. HASWA has identified support for carers as a priority, and is using funding from The Fore to create a new programme deploying volunteers to supporting carers in the borough.
