Lorna Young Foundation/Farmers Voice Radio
Description
Farmers Voice Radio is an initiative of The Lorna Young Foundation that uses radio to provide farmers in Central Africa with vital information and address issues such as climate change, water conservation and female empowerment. Its programmes can reach up to 500,000 listeners, and have led to communities increasing certain crop yields by more than 600%. Farmers Voice Radio will use funding from The Fore to redevelop its website to create an effective and interactive platform for farmers to access additional important information, and to translate its resources into additional languages to reach more farmers.
