BREADWINNERS
Description
Breadwinners supports refugees and young asylum seekers through a social enterprise that sells artisanal, organic bread. For those with refugee status, the Breadwinners programme provides paid employment, mentoring, references and networks. For young asylum-seekers, the programme provides a work-experience programme coupled with mentoring and training. 84% of young people on the programme have found at least part-time work, and 100% of those who completed the Breadwinners programme have found full-time employment or started their own businesses. Breadwinners is using funding from The Fore to increase staff capacity, enabling Breadwinners to pursue new market stall contracts, grow its revenue and support significantly more refugees.
