Description
Access Adventures’ vision is a world where disabled people have equal access to the benefits of adventure sports.
A lack of accessible sporting venues fuels health inequalities and isolation, with disabled adults almost twice as likely to be physically inactive as non-disabled adults. Founded by Paralympians, Access Adventures are breaking down these barriers by offering adaptive adventure sports for disabled people, from skiing to water skiing. Since launching in 2015, they’ve expanded their reach nearly 15-fold and they’re just getting started. But without the capacity to focus on growth, progress will stall.
With The Fore’s support, they’ll hire a new team member and diversify income, strengthen impact measurement, and grow volunteer numbers, enabling them to launch in three new locations by 2027
