The Fore – Green Shoots fund: How to write the best possible application

Green Shoots aims to unlock funding and skills support for grassroots charities and social enterprises in Greater Manchester. Green Shoots will offer grants of up to £30,000 in Autumn 2022 to help charities and social enterprises develop, grow and/or become more sustainable, along with a package of wraparound support.
Green shoots is a cross sector partnership, developed by group of civil society organisations (including GMCVO, Macc, Young Manchester and The Fore) and businesses (LCM Family, C Hoare and Co).
Successful applicants to Green Shoots will receive:
- A grant of up to £30,000 of unrestricted funding over 1-3 years
- Access to free, highly skilled support provided by experienced professionals
- Access to our programme of skills training workshops, covering areas such as fundraising, communications, finance, strategy and more
- A funded place on an impact management course
How to Apply: The first step towards making an application is to register to attend the virtual application preparation workshops that we are holding on July 27th.
An email containing the link to register for the funding round will be sent to all attendees of the information sessions, once the funding round opens on 1st August 2022.
At this workshop, you will find out all about the programme, how to apply, and gain some top tips on how to write a great pitch for your charity, social enterprise or community organisation. All UK registered charities, CICs, CIOs and CBSs with an annual income under £500,000 and where the majority of beneficiaries are based in Greater Manchester are welcome to attend.
