Trusteeship with Redberth Croft CIC
Applicant endorsed by The Fore
Organisation Description
Redberth Croft CIC is a community-led social enterprise in rural Pembrokeshire supporting adults with Additional Learning Needs, veterans, and socially excluded individuals through land-based wellbeing, skills development, and progression pathways into employment or enterprise. We provide structured, therapeutic outdoor programmes that build confidence, practical skills, and social connection while improving mental health and long-term life chances. We have recently secured our second significant Welsh Government capital grant to develop essential infrastructure on site, marking a major milestone in our growth. We are also about to begin supporting our first day opportunity clients through a local authority partnership, demonstrating both demand for our services and our transition toward sustainable earned-income delivery.
What are they looking for?
Redberth Croft CIC is currently a volunteer-led organisation that has grown organically in response to clear community need. We now have a strong and committed volunteer base and established delivery activity, but as we enter our next phase of development we are seeking specialist pro bono support to strengthen our organisational infrastructure and governance so that we can scale sustainably and responsibly.
We are particularly seeking support across Digital & IT, Finance, Legal, Marketing & Communications, and General Administration to help us formalise systems, improve operational efficiency, strengthen compliance, and build a robust foundation for long-term growth.
As part of this transition, we are also looking for guidance on structuring and recruiting key leadership and trustee roles that will increase capacity, diversify skills, and reduce reliance on a small number of individuals. This will enable us to move from a founder-led model to a resilient organisation with distributed leadership and strong governance.
We have recently secured our second major capital grant from the Welsh Government and are about to begin delivering commissioned day opportunity provision through a local authority partnership. With this momentum, targeted professional support now would have a transformational impact by ensuring our internal systems, governance, and strategy keep pace with our growth.
