Ongoing Role with Feeding Futures

Backed by The Fore

Organisation Description

We are pioneering a replicable, scalable model for sustainable, community-led school meals. Currently working in Kenya, we have a MOU with Nakuru County Government, and have been asked to form a partnership with a renowned university which already sends coach loads of students for field visits to our projects. We have just launched meals with our 4th partner school and the Nakuru Governor officially opened the kitchen, with close to 3,000 people attending. There is a real buzz about our model because children's lives are being changed and the cycle of poverty is breaking!

What are they looking for?

We are looking for a bookkeeper for our UK accounts. Our income was £103,000 in the last financial year, with the vast majority of expenditure being money sent to Kenya. We have recruited a Treasurer to oversee our charity finances and have a paid accountant in Kenya but are in great need of a bookkeeper in the UK to keep track of regular donations from individual supporters, grants, one-off gifts and events. We may consider paid software if advised, but currently we use Excel.

We are small and having a big impact so any help you give will mean supporting parents and schools to put more meals on plates for children in Africa.
