Romodels is on a mission to open up a world of career possibilities for learners across Wales. We work in partnership with schools across Wales to deliver a three-stage programme that supports primary school children (aged 4-14) to "Discover, Experience, and Believe" in a range of career opportunities regardless of their own lived experiences. The programme is delivered through our unique, online, bilingual Romodels Learning Portal, featuring real-life models (‘Romodels’) from diverse communities across Wales and beyond. We focus on careers that will help support the next generation of changemakers, creatives, engineers, entrepreneurs, leaders, scientists and trailblazers. Last year, we partnered with 58 schools and reached over 10,000 learners, and we need passionate and skilled Trustees to help shape our next stage of growth.

What are they looking for?

By becoming a Trustee, you’ll play a vital role in guiding our vision, strategy and , sustainability. You’ll work alongside our CEO and existing Trustees to help Romodels continue breaking barriers and building dreams.

We are seeking individuals with expertise in at least one of the following areas:
1. Financial Expertise – To support Romodels’ long-term sustainability
2. Leadership & Influence – Experience in education policy, research, or thought leadership
3. Corporate Partnerships & Fundraising – Proven success in securing funding or building partnerships
4. Scale up of a tech or consumer good product

We are particularly interested in having someone with lived experience of the stereotypes we are working to break, to bring valuable insights and help shape our approach in a meaningful and authentic way.

Your role as Trustee:
– Shape the Future – Help define Romodels’ strategic vision
– Provide Expertise – Use your skills to inform key decisions
– Ensure Impact – Support our mission to inspire young learners
– Champion Inclusion – Promote diverse career role models
– Act as an Ambassador – Use your networks to support our growth.
