Headroom Young People’s Charity Request

Headroom Young People’s Charity Request

Organisation Description

Headroom delivers specialist support services to young people aged 11 – 25 years and their parents in North East Hampshire suffering poor mental health.

We aim to bring about positive and lasting change, particularly to those with complex needs, through our 1-2-1 programmes of therapeutic support specifically targeted to the most vulnerable in our community. Most clients, both young people and their parents, present with multiple traumas and some form of neurodiversity.

Our service to parents helps them not only manage their own mental health better but develop a range of solutions to benefit the wider family and their child.

What are they looking for?

With an ever increasing waiting list, we strongly believe the integration of software could transform our charity. We have an urgent need to improve our reach to the unreachable in particular. Tracking multiple failed contacts via a variety of methods is proving most time consuming. We desperately need to streamline this process to be more efficient and consistent. Also, robust reporting of our data would add depth to impact reports, enabling us to evidence just how effective we are being in our work across the various client competencies we record, as well as to identifying common trends which will help shape our services in the future. Our issue is, we have neither the expertise or capacity to find the right solution. Ideally we are looking for someone who can help scope our needs, appraise appropriate systems on the market, and help integrate the right solution for us. In addition, a critical friend to our growth plans would be helpful. As a small charity, we often wear many hats, with volunteers, including trustees, being relied on for operational support as well as strategic direction. A fresh pair of eyes with experience of supporting charities to grow sustainably would be so valuable.
