ACE Education Request (SAC Recommended)
Organisation Description
ACE Education is dedicated to enhancing quality education in Nigeria through teacher training; over 60% of teachers lack adequate training, impacting students’ learning. We focus on equipping educators with essential skills to lead diverse, multilingual classrooms using modern teaching methods through capacity-building initiatives. Our Knowledge Exchange Programme provides Nigerian teachers with access to intensive training from UK educators and exposes UK teachers to diverse cultural backgrounds and teaching environments, helping them better understand and engage with students from global and immigrant communities. We’ve refined our program to offer solutions for UK schools, particularly addressing a gap in teacher training for educators working with students from racialised and minoritised backgrounds, especially from the global south.
What are they looking for?
We are looking for a volunteer(s) to help us develop a comprehensive educational toolkit and training resources, which will serve as essential guides for effective teacher training. Additionally, we are preparing to launch a knowledge exchange program, enabling teachers to spend 7 days in Nigeria, gaining insights into local education challenges and solutions.
Our ideal volunteer(s) would bring expertise in the education sector, particularly in designing training materials, with a strategic mindset to make our toolkit ready for implementation and income generation. Experience in educational program development or instructional design would be highly valued. Seeking someone proactive in aligning with our mission and open to working closely with our team to refine resources.
This opportunity is perfect for someone passionate about impacting education in Nigeria and the U.K, helping us equip teachers internationally with the skills they need to foster inclusive, effective learning environments.
