Recycling Unlimited
Description
Hull-based Recycling Unlimited promotes community development by supporting people who are socially excluded through providing mentoring, occupational support and voluntary work. Since it began it has an impressive record of having supported in excess of 1400 hard to reach people in its community. In May 2015 RU was awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. Recycling Unlimited is leading a partnership initiative to establish the City Farm to encourage people living in built up, low income areas to grow their own produce and live healthier lifestyles. The Fore funded the salary of a part-time City Farm Trainer to work evenings and weekends, boosting the overall social impact of the project and its potential to achieve its targets to be self-financing by year five.
