Organisation Description
Generation Arts is an arts, health and wellbeing charity based in West Lothian, Scotland. We provide an inclusive programme of arts activities delivered by professional artists, ranging from; creative movement and dance, visual arts to music projects, and remote cinema screenings. The majority of our projects are free to participate in and we deliver our workshops in a range of community contexts from; community centres, to hospitals, day centres and mental health hubs. We commit to improving people’s mental and physical health, to reduce isolation and loneliness and engage people across West Lothian in expressive and creative arts activities.
What are they looking for?
We are currently looking for new volunteers to join our Board of Trustees. This involves attending Board meetings once every two months for two hours. We are looking for people from a range of backgrounds e.g. HR, Legal, IT, Health, Education. Boards make significant decisions affecting the organisation’s operations, finances, and strategic direction. These decisions are made collectively during Board meetings.
