Organisation Description
Bramber Bakehouse is a charity and social enterprise supporting female survivors of abuse, exploitation and displacement. We run baking lessons, wellbeing sessions and long-term support helping women work towards a brighter future. Our social enterprise bakery sells baked product producing income for the charity, whilst providing employment opportunities for female graduates. We're 10 years old and operate across East and West Sussex.

We’re searching for our next Treasurer to join the Bramber Bakehouse Board of Trustees helping us empower female survivors. You could be the missing piece.
We’re in a strong financial position with a clear plan for the next 12-18 months, supported by a dedicated finance committee, our CEO and in-house Finance Officer. This role is about oversight & governance – not day-to-day bookkeeping.

> are a fully qualified chartered accountant, or equivalent financial experience (charity/social enterprise experience welcome)
> have strategic vision and ambition
> are able to devote the time & effort needed to help us move forwards
> are committed to supporting female survivors
We’d ask you to:
> Attend four quarterly board meetings in Brighton (2.5 hrs, evenings)
> Attend one monthly online finance meeting (1 hr, flexible timings)
> Attend two days per year in Brighton (Saturdays)
Previous board experience is desirable, but not essential. If you haven’t been a trustee before, why not start now? We’ll provide a full induction, plus ongoing training and development.
