Short-Term Project with GenEarth CIC

Organisation Description

GenEarth stands at the forefront of the climate crisis, partnering across sectors to empower young people to shape meaningful solutions. Recognising that the climate crisis profoundly affects their futures and often leaves them feeling powerless, GenEarth embeds real-world environmental challenges into classrooms. Our programmes spark young people's skills, confidence, and creativity, enabling them to transform concern into collective action. More than just climate education, we are dedicated to empowering a generation to actively shape the future they inherited but did not choose. We focus on adaptability and responsiveness to the ever-changing political, social, and environmental landscape. We bring together the private, public and voluntary sectors, to deliver a range of action-led free programmes for schools centred on innovation, design and creativity. Our small non-profit, has demonstrated significant impact since our inception in 2020 and we have successfully engaged over 20,000 young people across the UK.   Our flagship initiative, the Young Green Briton Challenge, is a year-long programme which empowers secondary students to tackle local climate and sustainability issues through hands-on projects, mentorship, and seed funding. The top teams bring their ideas to life and compete nationally to help accelerate their ideas into action.

What are they looking for?

We would hugely value advice and support as we begin designing and developing a fundraising plan to broaden our engagement with private sector organisations and high net worth individuals.

We’ve been in operation for over five years and, to date, have relied primarily on a small amount of trading income from paid partnerships with charities coupled with grants. As we look to scale and significantly expand our impact, we recognise the need for a more diverse and sustainable income model.

We have begun to develop the plan and approach but would appreciate a few sessions to ensure we’re on the right track
