Seenaryo Request
Organisation Description
Participatory theatre and play can transform an individual’s sense of agency. They gain the power to shape their own narrative and expand what is possible, individually but also through collective action. Working in Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine, Seenaryo uses theatre and play to support people to heal, lead and learn. We co-create performances with under-served communities, train future leaders and transform classrooms through play. Reaching 155,000 children, youth and women since 2015, Seenaryo won the Arts, Culture & Heritage prize at the 2023 UK Charity Awards, received a 2023 Innovation Award from TheirWorld and was one of Expo 2020 Dubai’s 120 Global Innovators.
What are they looking for?
Seenaryo is recruiting two Trustees to join its UK board. The role is suited to individuals looking to use their expertise in the non-profit, public or commercial sectors to support an ambitious UK-registered international charity working in Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine, with a strong track record. We are seeking up to two new Trustees with the following profiles. Firstly, we are looking for an individual who has expertise in running large-scale advocacy and marketing campaigns in the private sector and can support Seenaryo with oversight on an innovative new communications and advocacy strategy, propelling the organisation to the next level of engagement as we approach our 10th Anniversary year. Secondly, we are seeking an individual from the world of professional theatre, whose career has centred around work as a producer, director, actor or other artist. We seek someone who can bring the technical expertise, passion and practical experience of a career in the field as well as the commitment to and knowledge of the artistic sector as a whole.
Timeframe:We would like to recruit at least one Trustee before the end of 2024. We are open to receive applications and begin exploratory discussions as soon as possible.
