We want to change the narrative of dementia, one disco at a time. We want people to live well with dementia. We provide free to attend discos for people living with dementia, their carers, family and friends. We also provide discos in care homes. We want to scale to a National charity so that every town and city can have a Dementia Disco.

What are they looking for?

Advisory Board Support: Scaling Dementia Disco
We are seeking experts to form an Advisory Board to guide the national scaling of Dementia Disco.

Support Needed: We need high-calibre advice to determine the absolute best replication model for national expansion. While social franchising is a potential path, we need our board to critically assess this and other options (e.g., licensing, wholly-owned expansion) to ensure maximum social impact and sustainability.

Ideal Candidates must have deep expertise in social franchising, covering:

Strategy/Planning: Developing scalable operational models and assessing market readiness.

Legal: Governing replication models, intellectual property, and agreements.

Marketing & Communications: Building a national brand for scale and recruiting high-quality partners/franchisees.

Time Commitment & Logistics: The role is voluntary. We estimate a commitment of approximately 1–2 hours per month, primarily for 4–6 virtual advisory board meetings per year, plus occasional remote consultation. We value flexibility and practical, results-driven insight above all else. This opportunity is right for those passionate about providing definitive, high-level strategic direction.
