Mentorship with Beanstalk Skills Academy CIC

Organisation Description

Beanstalk Skills Academy CIC helps people move forward through three connected pathways: Beanstalk in the Community, Beanstalk to Work, and Beanstalk for Business. Working with partners including SELNET, Lancashire County Council, Preston City Council, Community Gateway Association and WEA, we deliver creative cookery projects, digital inclusion workshops, and tailored employment and enterprise programmes. Each pathway offers practical, person-centred support that meets people where they are, helping them build skills, confidence, and new possibilities for the future.

What are they looking for?

We’re seeking strategic support to strengthen Beanstalk’s financial resilience and long-term sustainability. Our priority is to move from a contract-dependent model to a more balanced structure that combines earned income, reserves growth, and strategic partnerships. We’d value expert guidance on developing a robust financial strategy, improving cashflow management, diversifying income streams, and building the systems and confidence to plan beyond short-term project funding.

Support around leadership capacity and governance would also help us embed these changes across our three pathways: Beanstalk in the Community, Beanstalk to Work, and Beanstalk for Business.
